The bubble is what the champion takes: a Grand Slam is 2,000 points and a 250 is 250, and that is the whole reason a player flies to one and skips the other.

It depends on the category, not on the opponents: 2,000 for a Grand Slam, 1,000 for a Masters 1000 or a WTA 1000, 500 and 250 for the tournaments named after those numbers. That is why a player will skip a 250 and never skip a 1000.
There is no Grand Slam among the next tournaments on the calendar. The four are played in January, May-June, June-July and August-September.
From the ATP and WTA season calendars on Wikipedia, which list the week each tournament starts. The points come from the official points tables for each category and draw size.
